Helping the Homeless in Our Communities


St. Francis coordinates several homeless shelter service opportunities throughout the year. Whether you give your time as a host or provide a meal or basic supplies, your support provides families with essential care from their community.

  • Shelter at Alpha House

    Join our St. Francis team in providing hospitality for 5-8 homeless families staying at Alpha House Shelter in Ann Arbor. This is an opportunity for individuals and families with kids to serve together!


    St. Francis parish hosts families staying at Alpha House twice a year, in May and October.

  • Shelter at the Assisi Center

    St. Francis parish hosts the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County Rotating Shelter once per year in the Assisi Center. This is a rotating shelter that serves about 25 men.


    The rotating shelter is hosted for one week in February or March.
