Helping Our Youth Prepare for the Gift of the Holy Spirit

"And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." — Acts 2:38

At St. Francis Parish, we joyfully accompany our young people as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation—the sacred outpouring of the Holy Spirit first given at Pentecost. Rooted in Scripture and guided by the teachings of the Church, this time of preparation invites our youth to deepen their relationship with Christ, grow in faith, and become courageous witnesses of the Gospel in today’s world.

The sacrament of Confirmation is received in the 8th grade with preparation beginning in January of the 7th grade. Please be assured that all the following expectations listed below are discussed and spread out over 15 months of preparation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help your child succeed in their Faith!

Candidates preparing for 2027 & grade 7, please download information from the Feb 22 meeting here.
