Welcome to The Geneva Smithe Library on the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Web site! The Geneva Smithe Library mission is to serve the St. Francis of Assisi Parish of Ann Arbor by providing a well-balanced selection of resources that foster spiritual growth.

The Library will be open one half hour before and after masses each weekend and a key will available at the parish office for parishioners wishing to use the library during the week.

Get Involved! Volunteers Needed. . .
The Parish Library is seeking many new volunteers, ages 16 and up to staff the library before and after each mass beginning this Lent. We prefer someone who is friendly and enjoys books, is able to sort, alphabetize and re-shelve books, or is willing to learn, and who can work at least one shift a month. Shifts will consist of working for half an hour before and after a particular mass, giving you the opportunity to attend mass. For mor information or to sign up contact Cathy Pense, Parish Library Committee member at  .

Explore our site to learn more about the Library, its history, the collection, library hours, how to check out books, and more. The reestablishment of the library is another opportunity for parishioners to grow in the knowledge of their faith. It will be much more accessible than in the past. Watch this site and the "Forum" for further updates about the library.
